Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DC Software Apps LLC, doing business as DCSA Studios ("DCSA," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit fireteambreach.com, create an account, or play Fireteam Breach (together, the "Service").
We wrote this in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@dcsoftwareapps.com and we will explain.
Who we are
The data controller for the Service is DC Software Apps LLC (DCSA Studios), an Arizona limited liability company. You can reach us about privacy at contact@dcsoftwareapps.com or by mail at {MAILING_ADDRESS}.
Fireteam Breach is sold and delivered through Steam (Valve) and the Epic Games Store. Those storefronts, your Epic account, and platforms like Discord have their own privacy policies that apply to your use of them. This policy covers only what DCSA does.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information to run accounts, matches, safety systems, and support.
Account and identity
- Your Epic Account Services identifier (a Product User ID) and the display name and email address your Epic or store account provides when you sign in.
- Basic store or platform identifiers passed to us by Steam or the Epic Games Store.
- Staff accounts use a separate Supabase login; that path is internal and not for players.
Gameplay and progression
- Match history, season statistics, performance data, loadouts, inventory, and in-game currency balances (tokens and credits).
- Anti-cheat and integrity signals used to keep matches fair (see the enforcement section below).
Content you create
- Profile pictures and any text you set on your public profile or send in text chat.
- Voice chat audio. Voice may be captured and retained when needed to review abuse reports and keep players safe. See "Voice and text chat" below.
Technical and usage data
- Device and connection data such as IP address, device and browser type, and approximate region.
- Crash reports and error diagnostics.
- Site usage and event data, such as pages viewed and basic interactions.
Communications
- Support messages you send us and our replies.
- Your email address if you join our newsletter, plus whether you opened or unsubscribed.
How we use your information
- Create and operate your account, matchmaking, progression, and purchases.
- Run anti-cheat, detect fraud, and enforce our rules so matches stay fair.
- Review reports of abuse and moderate text and voice chat to keep players safe.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug crashes and errors.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Send you transactional messages (such as account or purchase notices) and, if you opt in, our newsletter.
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations and enforce our agreements.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you ask for, including accounts, matches, and purchases.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent cheating and fraud, keep players safe, and improve the game. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Consent: for optional things like the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to comply with laws that apply to us.
Voice and text chat
Text and voice chat help teammates coordinate, and they are also a place where abuse can happen. To keep players safe, voice chat may be recorded and reviewed, and text chat may be logged, in connection with reports, safety investigations, and rule enforcement.
- Access to recorded chat is limited to the people and systems that handle safety and moderation.
- We use this data to investigate reports, enforce our rules, and improve safety systems.
- We retain recorded voice that is connected to a safety report or investigation for up to 12 months, or longer where needed to resolve the matter, handle an appeal, or meet a legal obligation, and then delete it. Voice that is not connected to a report is not retained for moderation.
- You can ask us about chat data that relates to you using the contact details below.
Automated decisions
We use automated systems to help keep matches fair and players safe. For clear-cut violations, such as detected cheating or prohibited words in chat, the system may apply a sanction automatically, including a temporary or permanent ban. Other cases, such as match review and player reports, are reviewed by a person before action is taken.
Where an automated decision has a significant effect on you, you have the right to request human review, to express your point of view, and to contest the decision. To do so, email us using the contact details below.
Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with vendors who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes we set. Each is bound by a contract that limits how they may use it.
- Epic Games (Epic Account Services and Epic Online Services): player sign-in, identity, and online services for the game.
- Valve (Steam) and the Epic Games Store: storefronts that sell and deliver the game and process purchases.
- Supabase: database, storage, and authentication infrastructure.
- Upstash: caching, rate limiting, and session storage.
- Sentry: error tracking and crash reporting.
- Inngest: background job processing.
- Resend: transactional and newsletter email delivery.
- Google Analytics: website usage and behavior analytics.
- Vercel (Analytics and Speed Insights): hosting plus web performance and visitor analytics.
We may also disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights and the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If ownership of the Service changes, we will require the new owner to honor this policy or notify you of any material change.
How long we keep data
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. After that, we keep it only as long as needed to meet legal, tax, security, and dispute-resolution obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use the following general criteria by category:
- Account and identity: kept while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized after closure, subject to legal holds.
- Gameplay and progression: kept while your account is active to support stats and seasons; may be anonymized for analytics after closure.
- Recorded voice: kept only when connected to a report or investigation, for up to 12 months or until the matter is resolved, as described above.
- Technical, security, and crash logs: kept for a limited period needed for security and debugging, then deleted or aggregated.
- Support and email communications: kept as long as needed to handle your request and our records, then deleted.
You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time using the rights described below. Some records may be retained where the law requires or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
How we protect data
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and stored credentials kept out of client-readable cookies. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
International users and data transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you use the Service from the EEA, the UK, or another region with data transfer rules, your information may be transferred to countries whose laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for these transfers.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR)
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data (the right to be forgotten).

- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (see "We do not sell your data" above).
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is needed to provide the Service.

To use any of these rights, email contact@dcsoftwareapps.com, or use the data tools in your account where available. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Fireteam Breach is intended for a general audience subject to its store and ESRB rating; if the game receives a Mature (M) rating, it is intended for players 17 and older. We rely on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Epic accounts to apply age requirements at sign-up.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email contact@dcsoftwareapps.com and we will delete it. Where the GDPR applies, the minimum age for consent is 16, or the lower age set by your country down to 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, give you additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
